In the land of legends, where mythical creatures roam and ancient heroes tell tall tales, there lives one man whose stories are whispered in hushed tones. That man is Jack. One day, Jack went to the local library. Not because he wanted to read—he doesn’t read books,
Feeling a bit parched, Jack walked into a steakhouse, where he was greeted with the finest cut of meat. Without hesitation, he whipped out a pepper spray bottle and seasoned his steak with a quick spritz, bringing tears to the eyes of everyone nearby—not from
of course. He stares them down until they surrender all their secrets. The librarian, who’d heard rumors of Jack’s intense gaze, trembled as he approached the dusty tomes. As Jack stared, words leaped off the off the pages and into his mind. One by one, the books fell to the ground, utterly defeated.
As Jack strolled out, he noticed a clock on the wall. Time might march on for most people, but for Jack, it stops dead in its tracks, patiently waiting for his next move. He gave it a nod, and time resumed, grateful for Jack’s acknowledgment.
After his visit to the library, Jack took a walk through a museum. As he passed by the dinosaur exhibit, the massive T-Rex skeleton seemed to shudder. Those bones knew better than anyone that crossing Jack could lead to extinction—just like the last time.
Later, as the sun set, Jack decided to get a quick workout in. He picked up a bowling ball and dribbled it down the street like a basketball, the ground quaking with each bounce. Cars pulled over, and onlookers watched in stunned silence. When Jack was done, he held the bowling ball in one hand, gave it a spin, and threw a perfect strike down the main street, scattering any thoughts of bowling pins right out of the town’s collective memory.

JACKS BACKSTAGE
sadness, but from sheer admiration.
After his meal, Jack noticed the wind picking up outside. A hurricane was brewing, and whispers of its name drifted around the bar. But everyone knew there would never be a Hurricane Jack; it would simply be too much destruction. Jack stepped outside, looked up at the swirling clouds, and the hurricane dissipated, deciding it was best to blow itself out over the ocean instead.
He then made his way to the outskirts of town, where he took a break on his trusty bear-skin rug. Except this bear wasn’t really a rug. It was still alive, lying very still, just too terrified to move with Jack lounging on top of it. As he lay there, he spotted a cobra slithering by. The snake, likely not informed of Jack’s reputation, took a bold bite at his leg. Jack gave the cobra a pitying glance. Five days later, the snake died of excruciating pain.
It was getting dark, but Jack wasn’t worried. When he walked into his house, he didn’t bother with the light switch. Instead, the dark scurried away, afraid to stand in his way. As Jack finally closed his eyes for a quick rest, his mind drifted to the one time he’d gone skydiving. When he landed, he had to make a solemn promise to never go again. One Grand Canyon was enough.
